# Table of Contents

Find CORTEX menu areas, their screen headings, and access conditions.

This page lists the current CORTEX sidebar text. Use the **Group** and **Menu item** names when you give a task to a participant. The **Screen heading** column tells you what they see after they select it. The route is for a researcher or support person who needs to identify the page; users can select the menu item.

CORTEX builds the menu for each person. It checks sign-in, the selected workspace, permissions, workspace features, and enabled node modules. Some entries also need an organisation setting. A page checks record access and handling after it opens. A visible link never grants permission. A missing link does not mean that the underlying records are absent.

A route with {id} uses the identifier of the selected workspace or record. A person's actual route contains that identifier.

The **Overview** dashboard also has **My work**, **Lifecycle**, **Map preview**, and **Tasking evidence** tabs. Its appointed-scope links can show **Operations lead workspace**, **Intervention queue**, **Situation map**, **Requirement progression**, and **Mission portfolio**. Those links depend on current appointment and access checks.

These menu items follow the main work order. **Collection** has a **Tasks** menu for **Create collection plan**, **Plan across requirements**, and **Resources and capacity**. A phase can contain more than one record and more than one reviewer.

**News** can help a user draft a requirement from a lead. A news lead is not retained evidence by itself. **Evidence memory** retains acquired material and its processing state. **Entities**, **Relationship review**, and **Graph explorer** show explicit cited records and links; they do not infer identity from matching names.

A product draft, reviewed derivative, controlled release, and UK recipient package are separate records. Each has its own decision and retained history. A recipient uses **Received UK packages** for packages addressed to them.

## Police operations

These features are often selected by the **Law Enforcement** operating profile. The selected profile does not prove that a person has tasking authority or a leadership appointment.

Select an analysis on **Analytical workspaces**. Then open that record's **Defence context** or **Futures** section if the workspace enables it. The menu item does not open a new defence record by itself.

**Workspace settings** includes workspace details, experience, connectivity, members, and recent changes. **Users and access** manages organisation accounts and grants. Personnel evidence, screening, eligibility, and appointments are separate records. An appointment does not replace an access grant.
