# Operations and Workspaces

Use your workspace, dashboard, and notifications to manage current work.

Use these guides to find work and manage your workspace context.

Use this menu group to enter a workspace and see work that needs attention. The application can show different pages to different people. A mission or operations appointment gives a bounded view of work for that responsibility. You still need normal workspace access and the right handling access.

## Open a workspace

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## Choose a workspace

Select **Operations & workspaces → Choose workspace**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Find the workspace

On **Your workspaces**, use **Find a workspace** and **Search** if the list is long.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Open the correct workspace

Select **Open workspace** on the correct card. Check the workspace name at the top of the application.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## View the workspace overview

Select **Operations & workspaces → Overview**. The page heading is **Workspace overview** after you choose a workspace.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Use **Manage workspace** when you need to see its members, context, and settings. [Choose and manage a workspace](file:///7397340/getting-started/workspaces.md) gives the full steps.

## Use each menu item

| Menu item | What you see and what to do |
| --------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Overview** | Open **Workspace overview**. Use **My work**, **Lifecycle**, **Map preview**, and **Tasking evidence** to find your next task. |
| **Choose workspace** | Use **Your workspaces** to select one. If you have permission, use **Create workspace** to start the creation guide. |
| **Mission portfolio** | Review authorized workspaces and their known delivery signals. Open a workspace's protected operations view for details. |
| **Intervention queue** | Review blockers, overdue work, and work with no assigned owner. Open an exact row before you decide an action. |
| **Requirement progression** | Follow requirement status and outstanding Collection work. Check coverage and freshness before you compare counts. |
| **Situational picture** | See a bounded view of workspace situations. Select an authorized item to inspect its source. Unknown map context stays in the list. |
| **Workload & deadlines** | Check assignments and due work for the current workspace. Open the exact item to act on it. |
| **Shift handovers** | Record an outgoing handover and its evidence. An incoming person must accept the responsibility separately. |

The [mission operations task guide](file:///7397340/workflows/direction/mission-operations.md) explains appointments, page limits, coverage, handovers, and retained decisions.

## Check what the dashboard means

**Tasking evidence** asks you to **Find tasking**, select **Tasking to inspect**, then open the **Direction**, **Collection**, **Analyse**, **Product**, or **Feedback** workflow. It does not select a requirement for you.

A page count can cover only the records you may see on that page. If a measure is unknown or partial, do not report it as a complete total.
